I am leaving soon and you will forgive me if I speak bluntly. The Earth is one small planet and the universe is infinite, and yet in this time you call 1951 you remain fearful and fractured. A very short time has passed since many of you died in a terrible war, yet you have again divided yourselves and are building weapons so destructive that to use them would be to end your species.

I have listened to your transmissions. Voices teaching you how to eat, how to behave, how to improve your personalities, how to teach your birds to speak, stories of creatures trapped by social expectations they cannot escape, fascinated by novelty, haunted by guilt. In your cities, new rhythms rise from your places of dance, urgent, electrified, restless. Your young adult creatures seem unmoored, ready to change, yet your institutions are fixed upon aggression and destruction. Let them be free to roam your planet, you have much to learn from each-other and yet everywhere you put up walls.

I came here to give you the facts. It is no concern of ours how you run your planet, but if you continue on this track this Earth of yours will be reduced to a burned-out cinder. Your choice is simple. Join us and live in peace, or pursue your present course and face obliteration. We will be waiting for your answer.
